| About Liz |
Liz has been a keynote speaker and seminar leader for many organization and professional associations at the state, regional and national level. She specializes in leadership development, customer service, team building, stress and personal enrichment. She is also a performance management coach and consultant. In the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Testing Federal Program Liz is a certified Breath Alcohol Technician, Urine Collector, Designated Employer Representative and Reasonable Cause trainer. Liz has written for several publications and is the author of a collection of essays entitled, The Web of Life – How to Deal with the Sticky Stuff. Liz was a guest on three different television stations, speaking about road rage, parenting skills, attitude, and stress. She was interviewed regarding preparing for the Holidays and Tips to Avoid Holiday Stress, on Senior Spectrum’s Mature Life Styles program. Liz is a native of Bangor Maine. As a child, she had her own "classroom" and using a chalk board she taught school to imaginary students. All she ever wanted to be was an educator. When not outdoors playing sports or enjoying the woods and critters, she loved to write poetry and short stories. Liz won her first speech contest in eighth grade and in her senior year in high school she won two gold medals at the University of Maine Speech Festival. Active in drama, she played a lead role in the High School production of "Charlie's Aunt" and to this day, dances and performs in local community musicals. She is past president of the Bangor Community Theater. Liz is a member of the National Speaker’s Association (NSA) and the New England chapter. For four years she served on the New England board in various positions including Vice President of Professional Development and was chosen “1997 Chapter Member of the Year.” Liz, for fourteen years, was a popular part-time instructor for the University of Maine Conferences and Continuing Education Division. She presented seminars in the Supervisor Certificate Program as well as numerous community programs. For twenty two years Liz was Director of Training for Affiliated Healthcare Systems (AHS) of Maine. There she developed over fifty topics and conducted those seminars for their Employee Assistance Program. She and was the author of the EAP bimonthly publication “Of Interest.” In this capacity she provided programs to over 130 organizations with audiences ranging from union and non-union laborers to executive leaders.
